{Our Journey}

Katie and Kelly Oostman, Co-Founders of NMN

Freshman year of college, Katie realized she wasn't the only girl insecure. She found hundreds of other girls asking the question "Am I pretty?" with the way they acted, dressed, or did their makeup. She met girls who couldn't leave their rooms to go workout without having first applied eyeliner, foundation, mascara, eyeshadow... Girls hiding themselves, boxing themselves in because they thought they had to look a certain way to be accepted, hit a certain level of "pretty" to feel good about themselves.

Katie wondered how much she relied on her makeup routine for everyday confidence. She decided to put it to the test. To keep her motivated, Kelly joined in, suggesting they tell people what they were doing to keep themselves accountable and, to share their oncoming freedom, ask for donations to rescue girls stuck in sex trafficking.

The idea was to address the misuse of beauty on two fronts. They didn't anticipate just how transformative such a simple act could be; the people the asked to donate joined in and the project continues to grow.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Please join our NMN family and experience the freedom for yourself.
